Some positions on Salvo are paid for rather than earned by trading activity alone.

Boosted

A token's boost pool is funded by anyone who adds USDC to it; the pool's size and decay determine ranking and visibility on the home page and elsewhere. Every such placement carries a "Promoted" label and the caption "paid placement · not an endorsement" wherever it appears.

What paid placement does not mean

Paid placement is not a safety rating, a quality signal, or Salvo's opinion of the token. Salvo does not review or vet a token before it can be Boosted. A token appearing prominently because it is Boosted carries exactly the same risks as any other token on Salvo: see the risk disclosure.

What determines paid placement

Boost pool size and decay are the only inputs; nothing else (team relationships, advertising spend outside the product, discretionary curation) affects Boosted ranking.
