Boosted
Boosted is the row of 7 slots at the top of the home page. It is paid placement, it is always labelled as paid, and it is never an endorsement: Salvo does not review the tokens in Boosted, and the same risk chips shown everywhere else stay visible on Boosted entries.
How a bid works
A bid is USDC added to a token's boost pool. The minimum bid is $0.01. Anyone can add to any token's pool, not just the creator: defending a slot is communal. A pool shows as "$4,210 · 44 backers", and every bid shows its burn split up front: "$1 → $0.70 burns $SALVO".
If a spending approval is needed, the wallet request defaults to the amount of your contribution. You then confirm the contribution separately. Gas is extra.
The confirmation shows your token and the amount paid. Homepage rankings update separately and may lag behind the payment. You do not need to pay again while they update. A contribution increases the pool; it does not reserve a slot. Only the top 7 pools appear in Boosted.
Decay
Every boost pool decays at 3% per hour. The decay is exponential and computed on read, so holding a slot costs ongoing dollars, and a pool nobody tops up decays to zero. Ranking is simply the top 7 pools by current decayed value, recomputed continuously.
Where the money goes
On every touch, the decayed value becomes real revenue: 70% burns $SALVO and 30% goes to treasury. Bids are not refundable, whether or not the token keeps its slot.
