The burn

$SALVO, the platform's own token, was launch #1 on Salvo, on the same curve and the same rules as every other token. Platform revenue continuously buys $SALVO and burns it, and all of it is public: the burn page shows one lifetime counter in dollars, split into committed and executed.

Where the burn comes from

Two revenue channels feed the BurnVault:

  • Boosted: 70% of all Boosted revenue burns $SALVO; the other 30% goes to treasury.
  • Trading fees: the burn ladder's share of the protocol's 0.40% fee revenue, plus, on any trade with no referrer, the full 0.25% referrer share (passing your own address counts as no referrer).

The burn ladder

The share of the protocol's fee revenue that burns $SALVO steps up automatically as cumulative protocol revenue crosses milestones. It only ever steps up, never down.

LevelCumulative protocol revenueBurn / treasury ratio of the protocol share (mature = 90/10)
1 (launch)$010 / 40
2$50,00020 / 30
3$250,00030 / 20
4$1,000,00045 / 5

Read level 1 as: of the fee the protocol receives, a fifth burns $SALVO and the rest goes to treasury. By level 4, 90% of it burns. The next milestone is always visible on the burn page.

Committed and executed

Committed is USDC that has arrived in the vault and is waiting to be spent. Executed is dollars already spent buying and burning $SALVO. The lifetime counter shows both, so nothing accrues invisibly.

Anyone can trigger an execution: it buys $SALVO from its graduated pool, priced against the pool's 30-minute average rather than the spot price, so a burn cannot be steered by a momentary pump. Until $SALVO graduates, the vault only accrues.

Separate from the $SALVO burn, every trade also burns the launched token itself through the salvo burn. See Fees.
